Spring is in the Air.........

Alright my plus size ladies out there, spring is here its time to add some color to your wardrobe. I'm seeing corals, turquoise, bold flower prints, white, and bright greens. I think coral looks good on any skintone(my opinion). This particular outfit is "vintage". My previous post titled Don't sleep on Goodwill I wrote about my visit to Goodwill and this is was a Lane Bryant shirt I found for 4.00. I paired it with a pair of white pants that I had in my closet from Old Navy. The neckelace I barrowed from my mom and I think this look is very nautical.My hair is actually a the Outre Jewelry wig that I blogged about in previous post. On my face foundation is Black Opal(and I really like this)velvet from MAC, gold shimmer, and a rose color from a eyeshadow pallete I got from my local beauty supply store. FYI- I write this blog because I enjoy enjoy my blog. I am not affiliated with Goodwill or my beauty supply store in any way. I like to shop and I am trying out different ways to shop. I hope you enjoy my blog and comment and we can share ideas.

My Natural Hair Journey........

Hello all....I hope everyone had a great weekend. I had a fab weekend with my daughter on the beautiful beaches of Jacksonville, FL. But what I'm writing about today is, my natural hair journey. I decided to take this journey and grow out my "natural" hair. And folks I must say...I tried....I really did....lol. But the journey had to come to an end. Gave the flat iron a try(that did'nt work), gave pinning it up a try, that was okay until the end of the day when my hair looked like the end of a Q-tip.(lol) Needless to say it was a great journey but the "natural" hair thing just was not in the cards for me. Nothing against my "natural haired" sistas if you can rock it ROCK it!!! On a serious note straightening my hair does not make me any less of a african american woman. Hence the lyrics from Andrea 3000 from the album Aquemini, "Is every dread for the cause or is every ***** with golds for the fall" This is just how I prefer to wear my hair. TO EACH IS OWN!!! Maybe I will give it a try again in the near future but for now this is how I want to wear my hair. What Eyeshadow I am Loving right now.

I am absolutly loving this eyeshadow right now. It is from Iman cosmetics. Its a deep purple and I use this eyeshadow every chance I get. I paired this with a lavender color I got from my local beauty supply store. Awesome color and can be used on any skintone. The name of the eyeshadow is African Violet and I recommend anyone to get this color. The eyeshadow is darker than the pics shown above.
